Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking an agent, or using any service on jits.com.ng (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any referenced policies. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. The Jits Market Agent Service

Jits ("Jits Market Agent", "we", "us") is an on-demand service that connects you with verified field agents who, on your behalf:

Meet the seller at a physical market or location;
Verify the seller and the product;
Inspect and run agreed checks on the item;
Report findings with photos, videos and a written summary;
Collect the item on your approval; and
Assist with waybill / transport arrangement.

Jits does not sell the product and does not act as a merchant or marketplace for the goods being inspected.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
Keep your password confidential;
Notify us of any unauthorised use of your account; and
Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for the product purchase decision and any payment to the seller.
You must provide correct seller and item information when booking.
You must confirm inspection criteria before the agent travels.
You accept that market conditions may require changes to time or location.

5. Service Fees and Payment

Fees are displayed per service package before you confirm a booking.
You pay the Jits service fee after confirming service selection.
Product price is always separate and payable directly to the seller or agreed party.
Payment disputes are handled per our Refund Policy.

6. Inspections and Limitations

Agents report what they observe and the results of agreed checks at the time of inspection.
Electronics can develop faults after inspection; not every defect is detectable on site.
Jits does not guarantee the product, its authenticity beyond checks performed, or its future performance.
You should review inspection results and make your own decision before approving collection.

7. Collection, Waybill and Delivery

Collection only happens after your express approval.
Our agent may arrange transport; you may choose your own carrier.
Once collected, the item becomes your responsibility. Waybill risk passes to the transport provider.

8. Prohibited Items

We do not inspect, collect or ship items listed in our Prohibited Items policy (weapons, illegal drugs, counterfeit-for-sale goods, restricted items, and anything unlawful under Nigerian law).

9. Agent Conduct

Agents are independent and must:

Carry valid identity during assignments;
Act honestly and report only what they observe;
Not negotiate or buy on their own judgement beyond your instructions;
Not handle cash for product purchase without prior written instruction.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, text, graphics and software, is owned by Jits and protected under Nigerian and international law. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without our written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Jits' aggregate liability for any claim related to a booking or service shall not exceed the fee you paid for that service.
Jits is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of the product, data or profits.
Jits is not liable for seller fraud that could not have been detected through the agreed checks.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Jits, its agents and affiliates harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Platform, breach of these Terms, or violation of any law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for breach of these Terms or where required by law. You may close your account by contacting us.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. We will post a notice of material changes.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will first be resolved amicably; if unresolved, they will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
